Dear Sir/Madam,
I have purchased a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. Nokia has distributed to me, via the Internet, a software package known as Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition version 2.2006.39-14. The distribution occurred on November 16th 2006. I did not receive the source code for the package.
The software package contains a notice that states that the product includes third-party software licensed under the GNU Library/Lesser General Public License (LGPL) and the GNU General Public License (GPL). According to the notice, the source code for these packages is available from the www.maemo.org Web site. However, I was unable to find the a source code package corresponding to the binary package there.
Therefore, I would like to exercise the alternative method of obtaining the source code as described in the notice. I request that Nokia provide me on CD-ROM, at the cost of media and shipping, the complete corresponding source code (as defined in GPL section 3) to the parts of Internet Tablet OS 2006 edition version 2.2006.39-14 that are subject to the obligation to provide the source code under the LGPL and/or the GPL.
Sincerely,
Henri Sivonen
